Maj-nu-ka-tilla, Delhi India: Monday, December 10, 2006 10:45: Activists of the Tibetan Volunteer for Animals group (TVA) commemorated the Nobel Peace Prize day (the anniversary of the conferment of the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama) on a green note.
They created awareness among the Tibetan masses at Maj-nu-ka-tilla (Delhi, India) with a photo exhibition of animals at slaughter houses. Flyers in their hands, they were young men and women on a mission. Magazines were up for free distribution at their small yet discreet stall near the entrance of the Tibetan Day School.
The 10th of December, which also corresponds with the Human Rights Day gives us reason for dual celebration. Walking suit on the path shown by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, TVA members aim to bring into limelight the essence of life be it human or animals. They strive to inculcate the Tibetan people with a sense of compassion towards animals.
