afa2007.jpgJanuary 12, 2007 Hotel GRT Grand, Chennai India: The biennial animal welfare conference - Asia for Animals, was held in Chennai at Hotel GRT Grand, from the 10th of January until the 12th of January, 2007.

The Managing Directors of Tibetan Volunteers for Animals Mr. Monlam Lobsang and Mr. Rapsel Tsariwa attended the conference. Mr. Monlam made a presentation on the topic "Animals in Buddhism" during the Religion session of the conference. Delegates from 37 countries attended the conference including over 10 delegates from China.
