A Documentary Show on Vegetarianism and Animal Rights was organised by the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Chandigarh and Tibetan Volunteers for Animals(TVA). The program started at 2pm and continued for more than an hour.

The program highlighted the voilence that animals have to undergo to satisfy ours.. humans' taste buds!!! The documentaries "Meet your Meat" and "Love nd Mercy" were screened. The actual plan was to have the Premier Show of "Law of Nature" which had to be cancelled bacause of Students ongoing exams!

The program was a huge success with the documentries shown and explained in detail by the TVA Members. It was an enlightening session and we could really feel the pain of those innocent victims as the film rolled. The truth that shared by the TVA activists shared were so common that we thought of it as insignificiant but having it spoken with its bitter truths really hit the cruel reality straight to our heart. He made us realize how selfish we are and the cost of our selfishness are really very high.

There were about 15 students gathered and all were highly touched. Tenzin Pasang of Shimla studying in DAV college, a firm vegetarian since from the time he attended his first TVA program about a year ago volunteered to help this noble cause from Chandigarh.

There were various feedbacks and suggestion: Lobsang Dhargyal of GCM college says "I am very thankful for your kind effort towards the good cause. I have to say that till now I came by eating meat without thinking. Now, I'll be vegetarian from today onwards"

The Regional Tibetan Youth Congress is a regional chapter of the Centrex Tibetan Youth Congress at Dharamsala. Since from the time of its inception in the early 90s it has continued to reamain one of the active organisation. The RTYC member consists of students studying in various colleges in Chandigarh.
The main source of fund is from the kind donations from the regions and the annual Mega Show at Dhasa. The funds are used for the various political and cultural activities held here. We render all the possible services we could to the patients coming from deifferent regions. We strive hard towards taking every steps that will take us even an inch closer to our dream of Independent Tibet! I support Tibetan Volunteers for animals for their great work.
